Pineapple Tea

When I was in Brazil, we would have pineapple tea in the afternoon. Sometimes warm, sometimes cold. I personally love the crispness of this tea as a cold drink in a wineglass on a hot summer afternoon.

Pineapple tea is very easy to make, delicious and has many benefits: The most impressive benefits of pineapple tea include its effects on the following:

  • Weight loss

  • Improving the mood

  • Relieving anxiety

  • Boosting the immune system

  • Improving metabolism.

  • Reducing inflammation

  • Preventing premature aging

  • May aid in lowering the risk of chronic diseases

Pineapple Tea Recipe


  • Wash pineapple prior to cutting.

  • Put all of the rind and center core in a pan covered with water.

  • Bring to a boil and then simmer covered for 1 hour or more.

  • Remove from heat.

  • Remove rind

  • Strain into a pitcher.

  • Refrigerate or drink warm

  • Add in a few drops of stevia if need a bit sweeter.
