Chocolate Brownie Protein Balls

Many of you have told me how much of a sweet tooth you have or just needing just a bit of sweet after dinner or maybe you are looking for a healthy treat to take to a gathering. These protein balls fit the bill. Kids and adults love these plus since this recipe is full of protein, it is a healthier choice for the after dinner sweet. Double the recipe and freeze!


Chocolate Brownie Protein Balls

  • 10 medjool dates, seeds removed

  • 1/2 cup walnuts

  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened almond butter or better yet sunbutter

  • 3 tablespoons chocolate protein powder*

  • 2 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon honey**

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Place the ingredients into your processor and blend until the mixture is well combined and sticking together. Use your hands to press and shape the mixture into balls. Place the balls into the fridge to set.

  2. Eat and enjoy.

*You can use Vanilla or plain protein powder and just up the cacoa powder. Make sure this is a high quality protein powder

**you can use rice malt syrup or maple syrup if you prefer.
